Ready for a real challenge? In this tutorial you will learn to take off and land in very short airfields mountain. The tutorial begins on land, in the Bernard Airport USDA Forest Service (U54) in Idaho.
The Cessna 172 is parked at the end of runway 17, with the engine off. Will start the engine, take off and fly due south down the valley to the Lower Loon Creek Airport (ID67). You can follow markers benchmarks or choose your own route.
Along the way you will learn the advantages of using the flaps, and explain how a “turn in the barrel” can get you out of dire straits.
